On October 26, 2017 the legend that is GARY NUMAN stopped in Berlin during his “Savage” tour. The location was the Columbia Theater right at the former Tempelhof airport.
Opening band were JAYCE LEWIS. They did a good job, but their kind of Industrial Metal wasn’t really my cup of tea.
At 9pm, GARY NUMAN entered the stage and apart from songs taken from his latest album “Savage”, which came out in September, he also played some older tracks. Among those there were “Remind Me to Smile”, “I Die You Die”, “Metal”, and of course “Cars”, “Down in the Park” and the classic “Are ‘Friends’ Electric?”. It’s amazing how much energy Numan unleashes on stage at age 59!
A great gig of a brilliant artist, and thanks to the early start it was over in time to catch the night train – being home at 2:30 is nice 🙂
